A collection of lyrical poetry and prose.
Book Excerpt:

Meter Mind (Always in Tune)

I think in 4/4 time
not whole time
but 4/4 time

understand me now
what that means is:

I can talk to you
and organize my life
all at the same time

Can you believe that?

I can choreograph a dance
Compose a poem,
visit the Caribbean
and all while I sleep.
Ha ha ha!

I can anticipate
the answer
to your question
while you are still in midstream

Can you dig that?

Meter Mind
UN HUH
that’s what I’m talking about
always in tune

Continuous Syncopation
Stomping on my mind.

Or maybe I just think too hard?
